It's essential that our carefully sourced wines are selected and served properly, and it's equally important that our licensed bars are managed professionally and efficiently. We are delighted to announce today that Ray Beckett, with over twenty-five years of catering expertise behind him, will assume responsibility for the very best standard of drinks service across all of our venues.

May 12th — All On Track at Rivervale Barn

Our set up team of Penny Smith and Kate Richards arrived at Rivervale Barn today to start on establishing our permanent Galloping Gourmet office in Yateley and are also working on final arrangements for the installation of the new kitchen (our largest yet), as well as myriad other critical smaller jobs involved at this stage of establishing a wedding venue.

Rivervale Barn Head Chef Nick Smith

April 27th — Rivervale Barn Head Chef Starts Work

Nick Price joins us today in the final run up to the opening of the exciting new venue in Yateley, Hampshire. He's thus far enjoyed a rich and varied career, including being a key member of the team to win Torbay's first Michelin star at Orestone Manor as well as recent successful spells in the bustling and acclaimed kitchens at The Chasers in Devon and The Peat Spade Inn of Longstock. And then there's his work on various Royal flights! Nick has assisted Joe Cathers at Galloping Gourmet over the last six months and it soon became clear that his dedication to fine food and an innovative approach to menu service and design made him the ideal candidate to head up our Food Team at Rivervale. Nick will spend much of the next three months working with various local suppliers and of course putting the final touches and rigorously testing the new kitchen we're currently building at the venue.
